Each framed set consists of a suit of face cards and ace. These playing cards were produced by B. Dondorf Frankfurt and are chromolithography representing the four continents. Diamonds- 16th Century Germany, Spades- The Ottoman Empire, Hearts-depicts India and Clubs- the Americas and its discoverers. These were produced in the 1880's but framed behind glass at a later date. See less
