It was a fashion suit design for the sophisticated woman of the time. We purchased it in Paris from a vendor who specializes in original fashion drawings. This was a lucky find for us as it is a rarity! It is a gouache and ink drawing done on thick paper stock. Note the artistic styling of the suit with its deep burgandy shawl collar scarf. You can sense the sumptuous lush texture of the fabric. (perhaps velour?) Note too the finishing accessories of the gloves and hat! The design is sleek, chic, and elongated with wonderful gesturing and posture. This drawing is one of several in our shop by this designer. Signed by the fashion dessigner, Jean Pierre Fleurimon, who today is best known for his makeup and beauty cosmetics salon in Paris but whose interests in his early career were with fashion design. Excellent, clean, pristine condition. 8.75 x 12.5 inches in size. Comes matted in a 16 x 20 inch white custom mat ready for a standard size frame. See less
