Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) designed the Ovalis vase (#3036) in 1959 for Iittala. Hand signed, the vase is white cased glass.
The Ovalis vase vase was made between 1959 and 1966, and again in 1977-2006. The earlier versions are hand signed with the no. 3036, while the latter versions have a sand-blasted stencil backstamp, and no indication of the model number.
