This is a very nice looking vintage American Hunting Duck Decoy. Circa mid 1900s. It is completely hand made - hand carved out of solid wood. It still retains its original hand painted features. It has a very nice form and displays very well. I found this piece on one of my Recent Picking Adventures in the Down East Coastal Maine Region. It is in Very Good Overall Condition - Displays Nicely. This is a Life Size "Working Decoy" - Meaning that it was Actually Made to be Used For Duck Hunting. As Such it Does have Some Minor Cosmetic Imperfections. This one Still Retains its Bottom Skeg and Ballast Weight.
It measures 8 1/4 inches Tall x 13 inches Long x 5 1/4 inches Wide.
