This down-filled pillow is made from a patchwork of antique tobacco promotional silks with Varsity logos and crests. It is a knife-edge construction with a black duchess satin silk back.
These promotional silks were included in American cigarette packs c1910. There are 36 full patches and more that are sewn into the seams.
There are a few areas where the stitching has caused the silk to fray but all-in-all this is in amazing antique condition.
