The ideal Wabi-Sabi style table, celebrating the perfectly imperfect, simplicity, and unappreciated beauty, it's easy to find overlooked elegance and rustic allure in this unusual 19th century table, with striking wood grain patterns, warm, rich coloring, distinctive antique character that adds layers of comfortable warmth, depth and a touch of elegant sophistication from fine details like hand carved and chamfered tool marks, quality pegged mortise tenoned joinery, and nicely aged naturally distressed finish.

Now fashioned into a low table (cocktail table, coffee table or side table) having a pegged four board plank top, over a large single frieze drawer with later brass pull knob. Supported by substantial sized squared supports. Circa 1850

Great shape overall, especially considering age. Highly desirable heavily worn smooth finish, with mellow patina over the whole, the top with a lustrous polished sheen. Wear and tear commensurate with age and indicative of use. Presents well, strong, sturdy, stable and structurally sound. Delivered cleaned, hand waxed, ready for immediate use.
