Mother Goose group of 11 vintage folk art painted children's nursery rhyme panels by an
unattributed American artist. They are early to mid 20th Century paintings; oil on board.
Comprising: "Simple Simon," "Jack Be Nimble," "Little Bo Peep," "Little Jack Horner," "Old King Cole," "Humpety Dumpety," "Tom Tom the Piper's Son," "High Diddle Diddle," "Little Miss Muffett," " I Saw a Crooked Man," and "The Cow Jumped Over the Moon"
each measures 5 by 7 inches.
The panels are mounted with hanging hardware. The back of each piece lists the name of the nursery rhyme written out by hand. No signature, but one more clue in the form of a label, that says Sleepy Hollow. The appraiser believes this may be Sleepy Hollow Restorations that was once in New York.
