Previous owner said she purchased the pitcher over 25 years … Read more Very cool, vintage (90's) tubular 'donut' shaped pitcher - handmade. Previous owner said she purchased the pitcher over 25 years ago from the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, which is a local studio / artist workshop here in the twin cities. Unsigned.

Has a great look to it - it's dark blue with a more medium blue toward the top of the vessel. A swirl of white-ish blues create a marbling effect that's very attractive. Glaze has some speckling to it which adds to the over all texture and look. The interior is glazed as well.

No damage, but there are a few bubbles / dimples in the glaze that happened during the firing process. Nothing major that detracts, but worth noting. See pictures. Other than that, it's a clean piece.

9-inches tall by 9-inches wide with a depth of 3 inches.

Overall, it feels very modern and can fit in with a lot of design styles. I filled it with water to see if there's any leaks – there aren't any. Has a nice clean pour and feels good in the hand. I see it as more of decorative piece or a water pitcher for plants, but I suppose it could be used for wine or drinks... just be sure to sterilize the interior.
