VINTAGE HOME is pleased to offer this cultural hand-carved Wooded Deity Wall Sculpture in bas relief from Bali, Indonesia. The carving depicts a powerful “Asintia” deity called “Bhineda” which protects the home from visible and invisible intruders. The piece is artistry from an island nation and is offered for its folk art beauty and craftsmanship. The history of the piece is included for historical context into Indonesian culture. The rectangular wall accent item is crafted from native wood and is irregular in shape and form consistent with both its craftsmanship and aging. The face of the subject matter is in bas-relief adding interest. The carved wood has a white-wash finish.
