We are offering this extremely fine Oil Painting. This excellent painting is in the style of the French Impressionist school of the seaside in Cassis France. The painting is signed for artist James Wilhems in the lower front left, J. Wilhems Cassis. The back has a paper label with artist name and "Le Quai a Cassis, Provence". James Wilhems was a Nordic painter who often painted Venetian scenes and scenes along the French Coast, including Cassis. The oil painting is housed in probably original carved wood and gilded frame. This painting sold at John Fontaine's Auction in 2012.
Condition: Very good condition for the age.
