The ring is striking in its simplicity, with a Persian turquoise cabochon bezel set on a simple hand-hammered ring shank. The bezel is thick, offering a tall raised setting that elevates the cabochon. The 24k gold has a rich, buttery hue that pops against the vibrant, beautifully saturated blue of the Persian turquoise. One corner of the cabochon hosts a rock inclusion, which shows this is a natural piece of turquoise. The inclusion is evidence of the rock that once surrounded and intertwined with the turquoise. The inclusion is hexagonal, and it is beautiful and fascinating to find a piece of geometry within the stone.

The natural turquoise cabochon measures 9 x 7 mm. The bezel that holds it is 4.5 mm deep, and the cabochon sits 6.55 mm above the finger. The band of the ring measures 2 mm wide. The ring weighs 4.25 grams. The ring was made in Turkey. It is marked as 24k and signed Farideh, who is known for importing the highest quality Persian turquoise to the United States.
