1960s West German pottery vase by Bay Keramik. Founded in 1933 in Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany, Bay Keramik became one of the most prominent producers of “Fat Lava” ceramics, known for their innovative glazes and textured surfaces. This 18-inch tall vase has abstract nature patterning on a neutral background, and a tapered shape. Marked “West Germany” on the underside. In very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.
