In fine condition, this print displays rich blacks in the engraving lines. The paper has a central crease, some foxing, and the corners have been restored with minute tears along the edges. Older restorations are visible. Narrow margins.

Francesco Villamena, born in 1566 in Assisi and died on July 6, 1625 in Rome, was an Italian engraver renowned for his engravings reproducing famous works of art and genre scenes.
Trained by Cornelis Cort in Rome, he inspired renowned engravers such as Jacques Callot and Claude Mellan—who studied his works—through his picturesque and popular style.
Prints of this subject are held in collections around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Boston Museum of Art, and the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace. This piece has an attribution mark,
