Antique glazed terracotta jar with two handles and a beautiful honey-brown finish, a typical rural container from Southern Italy.
Original use: Containers of this type were used to store olive oil, wine, or water, thanks to the durability of the terracotta and the protection provided by the internal glaze.
Vintage/used item, with obvious signs of aging.
Glaze with small chips, craquelures, drips, and black specks (see photo).
Exterior surface with scratches, streaks, light chipping, and normal signs of use.
Sold as a decorative/collectible item, not for current food use.
Perfect for decorating country homes, farmhouses, taverns, B&Bs, rustic restaurants, or for collections of antique Italian terracotta.
