The piece features a sculptural, hourglass-inspired form with a rounded lower body, tapering neck, and distinctive applied curved handles in contrasting green glaze. The vase is finished in a soft, pale celadon-toned glaze with subtle vertical tonal variations and a warm brown accent at the rim. The flowing, organic handles in deep green create a striking contrast and add movement to the otherwise refined silhouette. The combination of restrained form and expressive glazing is characteristic of Thomson’s work during the early modernist period in Sweden.
