If you are unfamiliar to bain marie pans, they are indispensable if you like cooking and baking. The copper pan is used to boil the water of the bain-marie. The heavy porcelain insert contains the preparation to be heated.
The lid can be used on both the insert and the copper pan, so that the pan can also be used alone. the handles are solid bronze riveted in place.

Copper is tinned inside which is intact and light.

There are signes of previous use. Some light surface scuffs from cleaning. See photos for all details.
