The piece stands out thanks to its interesting, contrasting veneer composition — the light-colored drawer fronts are paired with the darker, striped veneer of the body and flap. The characteristic horizontal inlaid lines on the front emphasize the geometric, orderly nature of the design.
The slender, tapered legs finished with brass feet give the whole piece a lightness and elegance typical of mid-20th century European modernism.
