The work in question is a preparatory sketch for the monumental sculpture "Man and Sport," created in 1999 for the Meraki sports center and located in Marnate, in the province of Varese.
The sketch is cast in bronze using the lost-wax process and features a pyramid-shaped black marble base. The work depicts a man suspended in the air in a horizontal position, performing an athletic feat. The anatomical rendering is accurate, particularly the arm throwing the ball.

The bronze measures 35 x 17 x 15 cm, with a total height of 38 cm.
It is in good condition. It shows minor signs of wear due to age and use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
