A very rare Kalmar Dornstab table lamp.
An early design classic, its elegance stems from the functionality of its design. The lampshade's unique feature is its design. The saber-shaped stem pierces the shade and emerges from the top. This construction allows for manual height adjustment. Pins are positioned at regular intervals along the top of the stem, into which the lampshade is suspended. Another distinctive feature is the base. The base is forked into two prongs, which support the weight of the projecting stem. The cable is threaded through a hole in the base and over a brass eyelet.
The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
