A spherical high quality studio ceramic art box, created by the renown German ceramic artist Helma Klett (1908-1996) during the 1960s.
The beautiful sculptural object has an impressive dotted spiral pattern glaze in hues of brown. It is stamped with the logo of Helma Klett. The iconic ceramic piece comes from a private ceramic art collection.
Helma Klett was trained by the renown ceramist Siegfried Graham in Römhild during the 1930s. The ceramist founded her artistic pottery workshop in the village of Fredelsloh, Northern Germany in 1940.
She followed the modernist principles of the modernist Bauhaus as well as ancient traditional design in her work and this duality makes it very interesting. This piece has an attribution mark,
