The s32 and s64 chairs (the version with armrests) were designed in 1928 by the hungarian designer marcel breuer (1902 … Read more The s32 and s64 chairs (the version with armrests) were designed in 1928 by the hungarian designer marcel breuer (1902 – 1981) and put into production by thonet in 1929. Timeless models. The chairs consist of a metal (tubular) frame, a wooden seat and backrest combined with a rattan woven webbing and (chair s64) wooden armrests. The rattan of all seats and backrests of this set of 4 chairs has been checked and repaired or replaced where necessary. The chrome frames are in good condition. The wood shows (normal) signs of age and wear. The s64 chairs are marked "thonet79", the s32 chairs "thonet80".
