It is rendered in shades of blue with undertones of green and brown with white waves. The sweeping brushstrokes and lightly textured dimension of the painted surface draw the viewer into the realism of the scene.
This 1960s vintage oil painting is framed in a driftwood-toned painted frame with a linen-covered gilt-edged mat. The outside dimensions are 21-7/8” by 13”. The painting dimensions are 17-1/2” by 8-5/8”. The artist’s signature, M. Erickson, is in the lower right corner. Marilyn Erickson was an artist who was based in Sedona, Arizona, in the later years of her life. The painting is in very good condition with no paint loss. The linen is stretched in a wood frame in the back with a wire hanger. See less
