BIOGRAPHY:
Tao Gaea is the pseudonym for American painter and pop artist Eddie Powell (1938–2012), known for his high-contrast, bold, and eclectic works active from the 1960s through the early 2000s. Based in California, he used the signature "Taogaea" to honor his children, Tao and Gaea, often producing vibrant, decorative, and varied styles including pop art, nature scenes, and Gyotaku.
