The table was originally designed for outdoor use and as a complement to wire chairs designed by Harry Bertoia. The tabletop has eight "petals" that are mounted on a cast aluminum spider structure. The petals are screwed into the structure and independently supported and expand and contract with changes in the weather. The table base is made of white powder-coated aluminum and stainless steel, while the petals are powder-coated in white High-Density Polyurethane (HDPE) suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The base and table top are supported by an eight-point segments. The table base was recently restored and is in excellent condition for its age and use. The petals remain in good condition, with minor screw bumps on two of the petals. Dimensions: 28" H X 42" W X 42" D. The table does not have a maker's mark. According to the Knoll Corporation, metal furniture was not branded until 2004. See less
