Original Scheurich Keramik vase, model 289-47, manufactured in West Germany in the 1970s.
A cylindrical form characteristic of West German ceramics with a massive, ring-shaped neck finish. The surface is covered with a rich, rhythmic geometric and floral relief. Glazed in shades of honey brown with darker transitions and olive green and cobalt accents.
This model is recognizable and valued among collectors of ceramics from the “Fat Lava” period and modernist design of the 1960s and 1970s.
