Decorated with vibrant hand-painted enamels over transfer outlines, the central scene shows elegantly dressed figures in a stylized garden landscape with lanterns, architecture, and symbolic pine trees — evoking a romanticized Far Eastern vision popular during the late 1800s.

The wide border alternates between richly detailed butterflies, fans, and scrollwork, painted in bold tones of crimson, pink, celadon green, and black. This decorative language was typical of the era’s fascination with Asian aesthetics and reflects the refinement of Creil et Montereau, one of the most prominent French porcelain and faience factories of the 19th century.
