The lamp combines a strictly geometric design language with architectural clarity and exemplifies italian postmodern and high-tech design of this decade. A characteristic feature is the vertically oriented glass shade, set into a solid, square metal base, which gives the lamp its striking, almost graphic appearance. The upward-facing lamp head is designed as a shallow bowl and provides indirect, room-filling light. The light is controlled by an original nuova lamperti cord dimmer; the base plate is marked with the manufacturer's information.

condition: good used condition with age-related wear on the metal base and painted surfaces. Glass element intact, electrical components including dimmer are functional.
