It dates back to the early 1900s. The box is hand-crafted clay on a wheel, glazed with thick, heavy enamels, glazed in some areas and opaque in others, and entirely hand-scratched with transverse lines created with gouges by the artist before firing. It should also be noted that diulgheroff usually signed his pieces with the initials mga, without adding his name.
