This oak bookcase designed by Marian Grabinski in the 1960s is a significant example of Nordic functionalist design. The composition features an upper body with open compartments and storage modules, flanked by a freestanding lower base with two drawers, 40 cm high, which can also be used separately. The limited depth of the bookcase alone, 28 cm, underscores the rational and architectural nature of the design. Swedish production guarantees high construction quality and meticulous attention to proportions and details. Grabinski, a Polish designer active in postwar Scandinavia, developed a sober and rigorous language in which modularity, formal clarity, and function coexist in harmony.
