This generous Space Age coffee table from the 1970s is a distinctive design in which form and material complement each other. The white lacquered frame is combined with a recessed top of semi-transparent gray smoked glass and rests on a solid wenge plinth. What makes this table special are the sculptural recesses in the sides. The organically rounded shapes give the whole a soft, almost architectural character. At the same time, they ensure easy access to the lower surface. Functional, but above all visually striking. The smoked glass top is recessed into the frame, creating a subtly layered effect. Below that, there is a spacious second level for books, magazines, or objects you want to display. The wenge plinth creates a powerful contrast with the light top. Wenge is characterized by deep brown tones and pronounced grain, which gives the table warmth and depth. The combination of materials, the graphic lines, and the sculptural character are strongly reminiscent of Italian design from the 1970s.
