We've all sat on a Thonet chair at some point; it's THE quintessential chair of brasseries and bistros from the second half of the 19th century and much of the 20th century. Its renowned for its sturdiness utilizes the bentwood technique for its four legs, back supports, backrest, seat rail, and the stretcher between the legs. Two of these chairs still have caning in good condition; the seats of the other two have been replaced.

This model, made in Czechoslovakia between the 1950s and 1960s, does not have a label under the seat (it has either peeled off over time or been removed by the previous owner).
