An impressive set of two studio ceramic art vessels including a jug and a vase, created by the renown ceramist duo Elli and Walter Serocka, whose studio was based in Xanten, Germany and in the Friesland region of the Netherlands.
These fine stoneware objects were created during the 1970s, inspired by traditional rural and ancient drinking vessels.
They feature modernist glazes in hues of brown and beige with a sandy tone over dark clay bodies. A sophisticated glazing technique that creates unique contrasts.
