A compelling and highly economical drawing by Mino Maccari, executed in fluid ink line, depicting a loosely articulated interior scene populated by stylised human figures and a camera mounted on a tripod. Reduced to essential contours, the figures are rendered through continuous, wavering lines that suggest movement, interaction, and spatial depth without recourse to modelling or shading. At the left, a camera-like apparatus emits a curling plume of smoke or vapour, introducing a note of visual irony and ambiguity. The central male figure, with exaggerated facial features and an alert, almost startled expression, is flanked by a standing female figure whose elongated body and turned head establish a sense of dialogue and narrative tension. The background is defined by schematic architectural elements, reinforcing the stage-like quality of the composition.
