This high quality ceramic art vase was created by the renown German artist Helma Klett (1908-1996) during the 1950s.
A sculptural crawl glaze vessel in impressive hues of brick red and beige, featuring an abstract modernist looped line decor.
It is stamped on the underside with Helma Klett's workshop logo. The vase comes from an ambitious private art collection.
Helma Klett was trained by the renown ceramist Siegfried Graham in Römhild during the 1930s. The ceramist founded her artistic pottery workshop in the village of Fredelsloh, Northern Germany in 1940.
She followed the modernist principles of the Bauhaus as well as traditional design in her work and this duality makes it very interesting. This piece has an attribution mark,
