Reference: Catalogue Battisti n.55. Armando Buratti (Rome, 1924), is an italian artist and painter. His works are now part of private collections in Italy and abroad, and exposed for example in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna and in the Musei Capitolini in Rome. The Pons Aemilius is the oldest Roman stone bridge in Rome, built in the 2nd Century B.C. It was previously a wooden bridge that connected the Forum Boarium with Trastevere. Today it is called Ponte Rotto, broken bridge, since all that remains is a single arch in mid-river. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
