A characterful Norwegian mid-century casserole from the sought-after “Pernille” range by Inger Waage, produced by Stavangerflint between 1949 and 1979.
The form is generous and architectural, with subtly flared proportions and integrated handles. The handpainted floral pattern wraps around the body in rhythmic repetition, creating a striking graphic surface. The soft yellow glaze band introduces warmth, while the deep green lid adds contrast and sculptural weight.
Both functional and visually strong, this piece sits beautifully within curated Scandinavian interiors, rustic-modern kitchens, or as a standalone ceramic statement on open shelving.
Original manufacturer’s mark and series number 2016/1 to the base.
