This beautiful Danish bowl from the 1960s is made of stoneware by Michael Andersen in Bornholm. It is a replica of a baptismal cup found in the Danish church of Aa Kirke. Each replica is unique. The potter skillfully used the material; the contrast between the brown ceramic and the light paint highlights the delicate patterns. The bowl has a simple, raw aesthetic, in the wasi-sabi style.
The bowl is vintage and dates from the 1960s. It was designed by Michael Andersen. It is in very good condition, numbered 4645/2, and stamped on the bottom.
