made of one piece of coated or opaline glass, the body of this suspension lamp is indeed the design of a disc or "flying saucer."

the upper section and conical top, are a pale yellow/pale mint/beige color, depending on the light or angle one looks at it. The lower section is the same color, with a textured pattern that is mesh-like and resembles tiny, laminated components of a circuit board. Both the center trim and lower rim, have a gold color.

the lamp is in overall good condition with some light marks, signs of age, some small areas of faded color, and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure (see photos) slightly faded finish on the lower section of the body, and the gold trim decor on both rims (see photos.) a very small, old mark of previous use on the body (see photo next to a 1 cent coin for perspective) two, small, old marks of previous use, on the inner part of the glass edging, of the lower rim (see photo), but nothing that affects the overall beauty or functionality of this piece.

the lamp has been tested and functions (see photos.) when lit, it emits a warm glow (see photos.) the ceiling cap and hanging system with a plastic hook on the cord, are both adjustable in height, so one can hang or mount from a ceiling, at the desired height one wants. The brass socket fits a b22-type bayonet lightbulb up to 250v, (bulb not included.)

a fantastic piece of lighting, with a wonderful, "space age" design, that will integrate well into any given environment with other mid-century, retro or industrial décor.
