A very fine knife set from the biedermeier period. At just under 19 cm in length, this set was likely intended as a serving or breakfast knife.
the knives are made of approximately 820/1000 silver, including the blades. They were made by the dane andreas westrup in 1846.
the knives bear two monograms: mf and if.
- the following hallmarks are present:
- westrup for andreas westrup
- aw for andreas westrup
- the city mark of copenhagen with the three towers and the number 46 for the year
- the lion for the month of production
- assay inspector's mark with the letters rh for peter reimer hinnerup (1840-1863)
- weight: approximately 230 grams
the knife set is in very good condition, with normal signs of wear for its age. This piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
