We have an absolutely stunning early 1900s American highboy dresser for sale. This piece is a fine example of Colonial Revival furniture, combining refined proportions with practical design. Crafted with a rich mahogany veneer over solid hardwood construction, this would make a beautiful addition to your home.
The dresser is constructed in two stacked sections, a classic highboy form, and offers generous storage with multiple deep drawers. Delicate inlaid line banding outlines each drawer front, adding subtle decorative detail without overpowering the clean, architectural lines. Original brass rosette pulls and gently shaped bracket feet further reflect the influence of early American and Federal-style design.
A standout feature is the hidden mirror compartment concealed within the top drawer, a thoughtful and desirable detail originally intended for grooming and personal use. It also features a cedar lined bottom drawer which is another way this dresser is very unique.
Please keep in mind that this is a very old piece. It’s not going to look fresh off the line. That being said, I’d like to point out some imperfections for the purpose of complete transparency. There is scratching throughout. The insides of the drawers are not pristine. There are imperfections on the top. There are imperfections on the sides, including a tiny piece missing. There are imperfections on the body and legs of the piece.
I do invite you to zoom in on the photos. We do business with integrity but don’t always catch every tiny detail that a potential buyer may find significant. The ideal buyer for this is going to love the style and character of the piece. This could be the ideal addition to your space!
This is part of a matching set. Please message me if you’d be interested in the matching dresser.
