Antique Chinese Blue & White Ginger Jar Table Lamp with Chinoiserie Landscape
A beautifully proportioned antique Chinese blue and white ginger jar, converted to a table lamp. The globular stoneware body is hand-painted in cobalt on a soft white ground with a continuous wraparound scene — willows, pavilions, and rolling hills on one side; a serene river vista with mountains and sailing vessels on the other. A classic cross-hatch geometric border frames the shoulder. Mounted with a brass fitting, harp, and finial.
The scale is just right for a bedside table, console, or bookshelf vignette. Pair with a simple white or natural linen shade to let the pottery speak.
