This beautiful antique plate is one of Mason's Patent Ironstone dinner plate, featuring the "Chinese Antiquities" pattern. The design, also referred to as the "Vase and Symbol" pattern, typically depicts a central vase on a small stand surrounded by traditional Chinese good luck symbols. The approximate date this piece was made was between 1830-1848. It is marked with its pattern number on the back rim "2240". The design is Chinoiserie style, featuring underglaze blue printing with hand-painted polychrome and gilded accents. Made of Ironstone. Very durable.
The plate measures W & D : 26.4cm/ 10.375in. Height: 4cm/ 1.5in.
