The … Read more This is an Exceptionally Nice Example of a Early American Antique Solid Copper Tea Kettle. Circa early 19th Century. The Design is Graceful and Well Executed. The Body is Hand Made - Hand Wrought. The Handle Mounts are Solid Cast Copper, Fastened to the Body with Rivets and it has a Tubular Hollow Handle. The Finial on the Lid is Also Solid Cast. Note Also the Exposed Solder Seam on the Back Side Opposite the Spout. The Attention to Detail in the Making is Obviously the Work of a Experienced Coppersmith. It has No Maker or Other Markings that I can Find. It is in Totally Untouched - Just has it has Survived Over the Years Condition. It is Quite Tarnished and It has a Few Very Minor Age and Use Related Dents to the Body - Nothing Excessive. There is Also Some Verdigris Oxidation in Some Areas.
