A handsome vintage garden sundial combining a sculptural iron dial with a beautifully weathered cast concrete pedestal. The classical column form, with its fluted shaft and architectural detailing, gives the piece the presence of an ornament found in an established English or European garden.
At 27.25 inches high, it is substantial enough to create a focal point without overwhelming a landscape. Place it at the intersection of garden paths, among clipped boxwood, within a gravel courtyard, or at the end of a sightline where its wonderfully aged surface can continue to develop naturally outdoors. The contrast between the dark iron sundial and pale, timeworn pedestal is particularly handsome.
