This is an original etching by Louis Icart titled Coursing II, published in 1929. The impression is crisp and clean with full 2" margins. The print is in excellent condition. The frame is of white gold gilded wood with archival mats and museum plexiglass glazing.
The plate size is approximately 15 x 25 inches. The rabbet size including mats is 31 x 39 in. and overall frame size is 38 x 2 x 47 inches.
This print conforms to the standards of the IFPDA (International Fine Print Dealer Association) and is in "A" condition. It is of collector quality and framed to enhance and preserve its value.
Louis Icart (1888–1950) was a renowned French painter, engraver, and illustrator, widely celebrated as a master of the Art Deco movement. Known for his romantic, often sensual etchings of glamorous women in 1920s Paris, he created over 500 drypoint etchings, capturing the essence of the Jazz Age with a distinct, stylish, and often humorous aesthetic.
