Mid-Century Nemadji Marbled Art Pottery Vase – 5.5" Hand-Dipped Swirl
Bring a touch of the American Southwest into your home with this authentic mid-century marbled vase by the Nemadji Tile & Pottery Co. Produced in Moose Lake, Minnesota, each of these "earth pottery" pieces is a one-of-a-kind work of art. The distinctive "tie-dye" effect was achieved by dipping the unglazed bisque pot into a vat of water with floating enamel paints, ensuring that no two patterns are ever identical. Measuring 5.5 inches tall with a generous 5-inch diameter, this rounded vessel is a perfect accent for a bookshelf, mantel, or side table.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. The exterior features a vibrant, hand-dipped enamel marble pattern in striking sunset red, orange, and golden-yellow hues. As is characteristic of unglazed Nemadji bisque, the porous clay surface shows a genuine aged patina, including some light surface smudging and natural scuffing to the body and base. The interior is fully glazed and remains clean, though it shows some minor mineral residue at the bottom from previous use with fresh flowers. No chips or cracks along the rim or body.
A captivating blend of mid-century craftsmanship and organic desert beauty, this Nemadji vase is ready to add a pop of color and storied history to your collection.
