Executed in a … Read more A substantial mid-20th century Chinoiserie-style ironstone floor vase featuring a deeply carved monstera or fern leaf motif. Executed in a mottled green glaze with cream relief detailing, the form is accentuated by sculptural bamboo-form ring handles and a flared trumpet neck.

This vase is crafted in heavy ironstone ceramic with incised and high-relief botanical decoration. The body features vertically paneled leaf motifs with textured crosshatch backgrounds. The shoulder is encircled with molded bamboo-form elements and integrated loop handles. Finished in a variegated celadon-toned glaze with intentional tonal variation enhancing depth and surface character. Felt pads have been applied to the underside for floor protection.
