93” Antique Rococo Revival carved walnut sofa with dramatic scrollwork and oval tufted medallions. Structurally very good; requires full reupholstery, including three separate seat cushions. Matching sofa and chair also available.

Full Description
An impressive and highly decorative Rococo Revival sofa featuring an elaborately carved walnut frame with flowing acanthus scrollwork, pierced carving, and oval tufted medallions at each side. The sculptural crest rail and deeply carved apron showcase strong craftsmanship and striking architectural presence.
The frame and structure are in very good vintage condition—solid, stable, and structurally sound. The carved walnut retains beautiful definition and character throughout.
The upholstery is original and shows age, wear, and fabric tears. This piece will require a complete reupholstery, including the attached back, arms, and seat platform.
The sofa includes three separate loose seat cushions that sit within the seat frame; all three cushions will also require full reupholstery.
This is an excellent candidate for a high-end restoration. Once reupholstered, it has the potential to become a dramatic focal point in a formal living room, parlor, or designer project.

Very good structural condition. Frame is solid, stable, and sturdy. Carved walnut retains crisp detailing with expected age-related surface wear consistent with vintage use.
Original upholstery shows visible wear, staining, fabric thinning, and tears. Full reupholstery is required, including the three loose seat cushions. Cushion inserts have not been evaluated and may require replacement depending on buyer preference.

The walnut frame is solid, stable, and supportive with no noted wobbling or structural failure. All legs are intact and weight-bearing. The carved walnut retains a beautiful aged patina with natural tonal variation consistent with antique use. The patina enhances the depth of the carving and reflects its age appropriately. There are minor age-related cracks and separations in portions of the wood, typical of antique carved walnut. These appear to be cosmetic and not structural. They can be professionally filled, stabilized, or left as part of the natural antique character at the discretion of the new owner. No major breaks or structural compromises are present. Carved detailing remains crisp and well defined throughout, including the crest rail, scroll arms, apron, and oval medallion surrounds. The upholstery is original and shows visible wear, staining, thinning, and fabric tears. The sofa will require a complete reupholstery, including: • Attached upholstered back • Arms • Seat platform • Oval medallion panels • Fabric panels on sides and back Importantly, the sofa includes three separate loose seat cushions that sit within the seat frame.
