We aren't sure … Read more Lovely wood carved box in hues of black and tan with animal motifs featured with plant life. We aren't sure of the country of origin but think it might be Guatemalan. The interior is very clean, some of the exterior has chipped away over time but isn't easily noticeable to the casual observer. The hinges work fine, there is not lock or clasp on the front. The back side appears to have some color transfer from something red- though this did not happen on our watch. See less
