A beautifully cast vintage bronze ecclesiastical medallion depicting St. Thomas Aquinas, one of the great theologians and Doctors of the Church.
The relief features the saint seated in scholarly pose, holding a cross-topped staff and a model of a church — iconography traditionally associated with Aquinas and his theological authority. A surrounding Latin inscription appears to reference Sanctus Thomas Aquinas, though portions are softened by age.
This piece has a rich, natural bronze patina with subtle wear that enhances its depth and character. The reverse retains its original red felt base, suggesting it was intended as a desk display or devotional paperweight.
